In a single moment, my outlook on life completely changed, reshaping how I approach my family, faith, and career.
The moment Josh was born, everything I thought I could control in life suddenly felt out of my hands. Doctors told us he probably wouldn’t make it, that there were complications beyond what they could fix. My wife and I sat there, powerless, trying to prepare ourselves for what we might have to accept. But in that moment, something shifted. I realized this wasn’t my decision to make. I had to let go and trust that whatever happened was part of God’s plan.
One by one, doctors started clearing him. They’d spot a problem, only for another doctor to see it wasn’t actually there. Before we knew it, we were holding him, hearing he was going to make it. That moment changed everything. I understood that my role wasn’t to control everything—it was to trust, act, and serve, knowing God was guiding the rest.
That was over 10 years ago, but the lessons learned through that pivotal moment remain a big part of my life. I’ve kept my family and faith at the center of everything. My career in real estate has been especially important as it allows me a way to serve others while also having time for the things that matter most.
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a real estate appraiser because I love homes. I pursued that path through college, but when the industry shifted in 2009, I had to pivot, taking on sales jobs before transitioning into online marketing. Over time, I learned how to generate leads through SEO, Google ads, and content creation. In 2017, after all we had been through with our son, I was ready to give real estate another shot, but this time, as an agent.
That first attempt was challenging. I was getting deals but lacked a steady stream of business. In 2018, after pouring our savings into my dream, I took on a job to keep us afloat. But my vision for growth and the values I wanted to instill into the business didn’t align with working for someone else.
In 2020, I committed to real estate again, this time applying my marketing background. I started a YouTube channel, Living in Boise Idaho, focusing not just on real estate but on what life here is really like. I focused on fine-tuning my approach and trusting that if I put in the work, the results would come. And they did. My videos started generating leads, and over the next year, my business transformed. I went from barely scraping by to closing multiple homes a month, all because I found a way to serve people before they ever reached out to me.
That mindset of service guides me in real estate. My job isn’t to push people one way or another; it’s to guide them, provide the best information, and help them make their own choices. I bring my appraiser background into pricing strategy, my marketing expertise into home sales, and my faith into how I approach every client experience—with honesty, integrity, and a commitment to putting their needs first.
In all areas of life, I’ve learned to trust God’s plan. As long as I put in the effort, He will lead me where I’m meant to be. My wife, Kathryn, has played a significant role too. Without her, none of this would be possible. She balances my drive and keeps me grounded. We have five incredible kids—Hannah, Josh, Hallie, Jace, and Emmy—and live in Middleton, where we enjoy our pickleball and basketball court and the outdoor, acreage lifestyle we always wanted. Faith is at the core of our family, guiding how we live, work, and serve our community.
Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions a person can make, and my goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. With a deep understanding of the Boise area, I help buyers find not just a house but the right place to call home. My Buying in Boise Blueprint keeps everything organized, helping clients avoid costly mistakes and make confident decisions. There’s never any pressure—just honest guidance, clear advice, and a commitment to making sure they feel good about their choice.
Selling a home takes strategy, preparation, and the right marketing. Professional photography, videography, staging guidance, and home preparation services ensure every listing is shown at its best. My YouTube channel, Living in Boise Idaho, and Instagram audience give homes extra exposure, helping sellers connect with the right buyers faster. With a strong pricing strategy backed by market trends and my appraiser background, I help sellers get top value while staying competitive. Above all, I believe in serving with integrity—offering honest advice, putting my clients’ needs first, and making the entire process as seamless as possible.
